Want to work with NPR’s fast-paced fundraising team and connect with Member Stations around the country; to learn about creating a powerful donor experience?
Join the donor relations effort inside NPR’s Development division.
Working within development, NPR’s fundraising operation, this internship will focus on work supporting the delivery of a unique donor experience for philanthropists nationwide who support public radio. The position will be asked to coordinate confidential information from NPR and Member Stations to help refresh strategies and implement new programs. The position will work with the senior director of development resources and the director of donor relations.

  • Structure a semi-automated communications system to track and respond to key donor interest areas
  • Review and refresh fundraising brochures to support organizational priorities
  • Execute stewardship related to Weekend in Washington , NPR’s signature event
  • Participate in team meetings and work closely with fundraisers and station colleagues

Qualifications:

  • Writing and editing
  • Managing multiple projects
  • Active user of social media
  • Communicating to various internal and externals stakeholders
