Job summary
The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Web Application Development Intern to join our team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you’ll work to develop an open source, web-based application for tracking currently supported devices in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Fedora, and related upstream projects. Your work will provide a resource that assists engineering, test, and support when they have questions about supported hardware in current, past, and future releases of RHEL and other layered products.
Primary job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy a web-based application
- Work with test, engineering, and support teams to understand their needs
- Develop and maintain an understanding of Red Hat’s open source offerings and associated hardware
Required skills
- Familiarity with git, including the use of remote and local branches, with previous experience on github preferred
- Experience with web-based, open source application framework, preferably one supported by OpenShift
- Basic scripting and string parsing skills
- Comfort in Linux development environment
- Must be a current graduate or undergraduate student, graduating no sooner than May 2014
