SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR INTERN
Description: Excellent opportunity to gain corporate partnership experience with the WNBA! The Sponsorship Department is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and creative individual who will assist the Director of Sponsorship Sales and Service with the development and implementation of corporate sports marketing partnerships for the WNBA Atlanta Dream. This individual will support the Director of Sponsorship Sales in an administrative, sales, client servicing, and activation role.
Requirements and Duties:
Must be available for EVERY home game, and between 20-40 hours per week for office duties (as needed)
• Provide support to the sales department including cold calling, conducting research and new business prospecting
• Assist with creating sponsorship proposals, deal point memos, and contracts
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Creating and executing innovative ideas to assist in the promotion of the WNBA Atlanta Dream and corporate partnerships
• Fulfillment of on-site sponsorship activations and elements at Dream games at Philips Arena including: execution of on-site operational elements, client promotional set-up, product sampling, signage, client/suite hospitality, client ticketing needs, on-site contact for all shows
• Assist in managing existing and new business relationships
• Assist with fulfillment on other departments supporting sponsored programs (community relations, game presentation, ticket sales & service)
• Ensure delivery of contractual elements and providing excellent customer service and client fulfillment
• Assist with re-cap information illustrating key components and successes of each client program including overview, program highlights, and photos.
• Other assignments and duties as needed 
GAME ENTERTAINMENT INTERN
Description: The Game Entertainment intern will aid the Director of Game Entertainment and Operations in securing and managing the talent groups associated with producing a first-class entertainment experience for the fans. This position will support all talent groups and work closely with the Shooting Stars cheer program and its Coordinator in addition to the Mascot and Dream Supreme Senior Dance team programs.
Requirements and Duties:
Must be available for ALL Dream home games (including Exhibition game). Available to work 20-40 hours per week.
• Research and secure talent for National Anthems and other in-game performances
• Work closely with the Group Sales Account Executives and all talent groups they secure. Coordinate all logistics for the performances
• Create and execute on-court promotions
 
GAME OPERATIONS AND MERCHANDISING INTERN
Description:
The Game and Event Operations intern will aid the Director of Game Entertainment and Operations in all aspects of running a professional game and event including: Pre-planning, working with venues and vendors, execute the game or event, post game/event wrap-up. This position will also help support the online store and in-arena merchandise sales.
Requirements and Duties:
Must be available for ALL Dream home games (including Exhibition game). Available to work 20-40 hours per week.
• Create and execute all in-game and concourse promotions
• Plan and facilitate all outside events including Season Ticket Holder events and Viewing Parties
• Support Merchandise outlets
 
PUBLIC RELATIONS/COMMUNITY RELATIONS INTERN
Description:
The Dream seeks energetic, can-do intern to aid members of the Atlanta Dream public relations/community relations department with implementing the departmental strategies and objectives for the 2011 season.
Requirements: Strong writing skills. Strong organizational skills. Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be a quick learner with a willingness to learn new technologies. Ability to multi-task under time constraints. Willing to work ALL Atlanta Dream home games (pre- and post-). Knowledge of basketball preferred.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (include but are not limited to):
• Monitor media coverage and maintain archive of press clippings
• Search all print and online media for Dream content, distributing to staff and updating player/personnel files
• Assist with game day media hospitality and credential requests
• Assist with publications, including game notes and press packets
• Coordinate team scout scheduling
• Provide content for Dream website
• Assist with coordinating and implementing community relations programs and player appearances
• Fulfill community ticket requests and distribution
• Assist with fulfillment and tracking of donation requests
• Assist with tracking and reporting player appearances to the league
• Execute required game day duties and assist with theme games
• Develop and maintain detailed databases of community partner organizations
VIDEO PRODUCTION/GRAPHIC INTERN
Description:
The Dream seeks energetic, can-do intern to assist the broadcasting department with all aspects of team video production content. The ideal candidate will have the ability to shoot and edit video as well as be familiar with the applications in the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Requirements: Strong Final Cut Pro editing skills. Strong video camera shooting skills. Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite applications (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator). Strong organizational skills. Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be a quick learner with a willingness to learn new technologies. Ability to multi-task under time constraints. Flexible schedule, willing to ALL Atlanta Dream home games (pre- and post-). Knowledge of basketball preferred.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (include but are not limited to):
• Knowledge of the production process including shooting, lighting, audio recording, video editing and graphic design
• Design and creation of videos, graphics and any other original content
• Assist with shooting and editing pre/post game interviews on game days
• Assist with shooting and editing team PSAs, sponsor ads, highlight packages, etc.
• Assist with production of player and coach shows for Dream TV on website
• Maintain archive of video footage to use for various projects
PUBLIC RELATIONS/NEW MEDIA INTERN
Description:
The Dream seeks energetic, can-do intern to aid members of the Atlanta Dream public relations department with implementing the departmental strategies and objectives for the 2011 season. 
Requirements: Experience with social networking technologies (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, etc.). Strong writing skills. Strong organizational skills. Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be a quick learner with a willingness to learn new technologies. Ability to multi-task under time constraints. Willing to work ALL Atlanta Dream home games (pre- and post-). Knowledge of basketball preferred.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (include but are not limited to):

MARKETING INTERN
Description
: Excellent opportunity to gain marketing experience with the WNBA! The Marketing Department is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and creative individual who will assist the Director of Marketing with the development and implementation of 2011 RUN WITH THE DREAM marketing campaign in addition to other tasks for the WNBA Atlanta Dream. This individual will support the Director of Marketing in an administrative, event marketing partnership, and game day responsibility role.
Requirements and Duties:
Must be available for EVERY home game, and between 12-15 hours per week in addition to the task below:
• Provide support to the marketing department including representing the Dream at various in market events as well as assisting the Dream in the execution of marketing partnerships
• Assist with communicating to external marketing partners and select sponsors associated with theme nights
• Creating and executing innovative ideas to assist in the promotion of the WNBA Atlanta Dream and marketing partnerships
• Fulfillment of marketing activations and elements at Dream games at Philips Arena including: execution of on-site operational elements, client promotional set-up, product sampling, signage, client/suite hospitality, client ticketing needs, on-site contact for all shows/events associated with marketing and ticket sales
• Assist in managing business relationships
• Assist with fulfillment on other departments supporting marketing programs (community relations, game presentation, ticket sales & service)
• Ensure delivery of contractual elements and providing excellent customer service and partnership fulfillment
• Assist with re-cap information from marketing partners to be used by sponsorship that illustrate key components and successes of each client program including overview, program highlights, and photos.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel – Proficiency in Photoshop a plus
