SWEETWATER TOUR & EVENTS INTERN
I. Overview:
The Tour & Events Intern will have a wide variety of opportunities to learn the day-to-day operation of SweetWater Brewery as a public educational tour & tasting facility, as well as a unique Atlanta event venue and landmark. The Tour & Event intern will be assigned learning opportunities by the Director of Enjoyment & Events, including client/lead generation, client database creation, “street team” marketing assignments, tour & tasting procedures, aspects of event planning from pre-event planning, to day-of execution and post event follow up – and, of course, will learn about the craft brewing industry!
II. Requirements:
1)Must be 21 years of age or older by April 30th to be considered.
2)Internship must be applied towards college credit.
3)Internship will run from Mid-May through Mid-August.
4)Must have a valid US Drivers License.
5)Personal laptop preferred.
6)Available Wednesdays – primarily daytime hours, and Saturdays – hours vary.
7)Roughly 15 – 20 hrs./week.
8)Hard working, multi-tasker, impeccable organizational skills.
9)Interested in learning all aspects of public and private event management from a landmark/venue/facility perspective, including admin responsibilities, client & guest interaction, vendor relations, day-of processes, etc.
III. Responsibilities:
1)Act as a representative of SweetWater Brewery and be able to retain large amounts of information regarding Brewery, band and mission.
2)Work closely with Director of Enjoyment & Events to obtain valuable experience in all fields of public and private event management, planning and execution from a landmark/venue/facility perspective.
3)Will be assigned tasks/projects that may provide minimal supervision. Will be asked to work independently on occasion.
IV. Compensation:
1)This is an unpaid internship.
2)All compensation will be in the form of college credit.
