Entertainment Enterprises Internship

Clear Channel Entertainment Enterprises utilizes the unparalleled assets of Clear Channel to develop new businesses for the company across a range of media, including television and live events, while creating value for Clear Channel advertisers and key partners. Entertainment Enterprises drives the company’s brands further into the entertainment and media space, leveraging Clear Channel’s 840 radio stations, web and outdoor properties and the iHeartRadio platform to create partnerships and large-scale live, on-air and televised events that support artists’ projects, add value for advertisers and position Clear Channel as a 360 degree entertainment company.

By the end of 2014, Clear Channel will have had at least 18 television shows aired on networks domestically, and distributed internationally in over 30 countries around the world, including franchises like the iHeartRadio Music Festival, Jingle Ball and the iHeartRadio Album Release Party Series. In addition, Clear Channel has already had dozens of its events video streamed on its own platforms, as well as on other major consumer platforms like PlayStation®3 (PS3™), Xbox and Yahoo.

Required Skills

Entertainment Enterprises internship will consist of the following tasks:

  • General Administrative duties including scheduling meetings, light phone work, coffee & lunch runs, etc.
  • Competitive landscape research covering TV, Music, Live Events and other related media fields.
  • Development of PowerPoint presentations (e.g. pitch decks, program recaps, research studies, etc).
  • Compilation / distribution of meeting notes and recaps.
  • Maintain calendar of all shows and productions.

Strong detail orientation

  • Effective written and oral communication skills (including email etiquette, proper grammar / punctuation & etc).
  • PowerPoint fluency — must be able to quickly and effectively compose well-structured presentations.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Photoshop or other graphic design software a plus.

Our management will teach and encourage, but it’s up to the student to bring an enthusiasm to learn. Because internships at Clear Channel are learning experiences, they are unpaid.

Eligibility To Be Considered a Candidate:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must provide a Résumé with Cover Letter and a Letter of Recommendation.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and be eligible to receive college credit.
  • Must be able to provide Clear Channel with a formal letter from an advisor or faculty member (on college/university letterhead) stating that the student is eligible to receive college credit for the internship. No exceptions!

Number of hours worked and start date are determined by the student’s internship advisor/school but our positions generally require 15-20 hours per week. Schedule is flexible and is mutually agreed upon by the supervisor and student. Clear Channel reserves the right to terminate a student’s internship at any point for reasons such as misconduct, poor attendance, insubordination or other serious problems.
