The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) offers an internship opportunity each semester at America’s leading Defense Industry association with over 1,600 member companies and over 90,000 individual members promoting national security.

The Marketing Intern Position will include:
Research Duties:
– Track, summarize, and report on marketing opportunities, including:
o Who are the most influential bloggers in our space (outside of the mainstream news), where are there opportunities to engage?
o Audit the content on the current NDIA website, develop a report of content (evergreen, sunset, underutilized, most viewed, etc) as part of a website redesign strategy
– Compile non-profit and defense related news websites with common threads for content and navigation
Social Media:
– Contribute to NDIA’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest)
– Assist in managing and identifying content and distribution channels
– Evaluate social media opportunities (what NEW platforms will provide the best return? What opportunities are sustainable?)
Association duties:
– Support the AVP, Business Operations, marketing with day to day projects and activities.
– Prepare first drafts of Association communications, particularly HTML emails for new HTML campaigns.
Intern candidate will gain firsthand experience of day to day marketing operations from strategic to tactical on active, high priority programs, with frequent interface and collaboration with senior executives.
Fall and spring semester interns will coordinate work and be enrolled in the UGA Washington Semester program. Summer interns do not have to be in that program.
