ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
The Account Executive is responsible for prospecting and calling on local advertisers to participate across all available Student Media outlets, including but not limited to The East Carolinian student newspaper and WZMB 91.3 FM college radio.
Some sales experience is preferred, but not required. Other job duties include attending weekly sales meetings, managing the advertising sales and production process, working closely with design staff and generating new sales leads.
Must be able to achieve sales goals, work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
Students will gain extensive knowledge of traditional and digital advertising, exceptional sales skills and strategies as well as marketing and public relations best practices.
Each Account Executive reports to the Business Manager and is expected to keep a minimum of 10 office hours a week between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This is a commission-based position. Interested applicants must be a student currently enrolled at East Carolina University, possess and maintain a minimum 2.25 GPA and be in good disciplinary and academic standing with ECU.
