ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

The Account Executive is responsible for prospecting and calling on local businesses to advertise in all available Student Media outlets, including but not limited to The East Carolinian student newspaper and WZMB 91.3 FM college radio.

Some sales experience is preferred, but not required. Other job duties include attending weekly strategy meetings, managing the advertising sales and production process, working closely with design staff and generating new sales leads.

The ideal candidate is organized, aggressive, outgoing and creative. Must be able to achieve sales goals, work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.

Students will gain valuable real-world experience in traditional and digital advertising, while developing exceptional communication skills and strategies that will prepare them for future success.

Each Account Executive reports to the Business Manager and must keep a minimum of 10 office hours a week between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is a commission-based position that rewards hard work with tremendous income potential. Interested applicants must be a student currently enrolled at East Carolina University, possess and maintain a minimum 2.25 GPA and be in good disciplinary and academic standing with ECU.
