Internship Opportunities – Prevention Partners

Prevention Partners knows that healthy places change lives.  We focus on the leading health issues: decreasing tobacco use, increasing physical activity, promoting good nutrition and reducing obesity. Our products guide decision-makers to shape policies and environments that transform workplaces, schools, hospitals and clinics.

Interns are an invaluable part of Prevention Partners’ success in achieving our mission. We have a variety of internship opportunities available for this summer.  Our internships are full-time, volunteer experiences that run from mid-May – early August.  They are open to undergraduates, graduates, and recent graduates.

Students interested in public health and prevention practices for students, employees and patients are able to directly work with our programmatic teams.  We also have a variety of internships that students in other disciplines may want to explore. These are focused opportunities for students interested in working at a thriving non-profit on projects that connect their academic and professional interests. Available summer internship opportunities include:

  • Business Analysis: Identify and research business processes to help design and implement needed technology solutions.
  • Donor and Alumni Relations: Support a new donor management system.  Outreach to intern alumni.  Help develop our internship fund.
  • Organizational Coaching: Help organizations implement policies, benefits and environments to help make the healthy choice the easy choice.
  • Research and Evaluation: Contribute to the development of Prevention Partners’ products, with a focus on student wellness or employee mental health.
  • Strategic Alliances: Help scale our work with community, state and national change agents.  Assist with interim progress reporting and research future opportunities for program implementation.
  • Training and Communications: Assist with the development of in-person trainings, webinars, blogs, case studies, and electronic bulletins.

We are accepting applications for summer 2015 internship opportunities online at:http://www.forprevention.org/interns. We encourage students to apply early, as openings fill quickly. We’ll make hiring decisions on a rolling basis through March.
