Business Development Associate
Job Description
This is an entry-level position in The Agency with the expectation of transitioning into the Account Executive position. The Business Development Associate position focuses on learning the ins-and-outs of The Agency, Student Media and advertising sales. This position reports directly to the Business Manager but works closely with their assigned Account Executive as a part of a sales team.
The Business Development Associate is expected to be present on production days and work a minimum of 7 hours per week. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in business development strategy and research
Helping create proposals
Assisting in reporting and analyzing online advertising campaigns
Assisting in managing ad traffic and deadlines
Filing publications and proofs
Providing overall sales support, assisting in achieving team sales goals
The ideal candidate must be a current ECU Student in good standing with a minimum of 2.0 GPA. Excellent organizational skills are a must. Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills are required for this position. A desire to learn and succeed is expected of all Agency staff.
