In 2009, Live Nation sold 140 million tickets, promoted 21,000 concerts, partnered with 850 sponsors and averaged 25 million unique monthly users of its e-commerce sites.
 
The Role:
An internship with us is the backstage pass to gain real world experience and exposure to a brand synonymous with live entertainment around the world.
The Live Nation – Charlotte Sponsorship Department is in search of a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the very heart of the entertainment industry! As an intern, you would be involved in various aspects of sponsorship for three venues in Charlotte and the surrounding area; Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, The Fillmore Charlotte, and Road Runner Mobile Amphitheatre. 

 

Responsibilities
 
Principal duties include internal and eternal projects such as:
 
  • Assisting Sales Staff (including show days)
  • Fulfillment of Sponsor agreements
  • Implementing Sponsor promotions
  • Coordinating ticket orders
  • Work in conjunction with marketing to compile media packages
  • Tracking Sponsor and venue media coverage
  • Recapping client investments
  • Internet Research
  • Administrative duties
Job Requirements :
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to receive academic credit from their college or university prior to starting assignment
  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Masters program at an accredited college or university  with Junior or Senior standing
  • A degree in Entertainment/Sales or related field is preferred 
  • Must be 18 years or older and have junior standing or above
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum work schedule of 20 hours per week and a maximum of 30 hours per week with some availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays are required
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
  • Must be able to show eligibility to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation
  • Detail-oriented 
  • The ability to multi-task efficiently on a daily basis
  • Eager to learn and be proactive with new tasks
  • The ability to conduct yourself in a professional matter at all times
  • The ability to learn and absorb at a fast pace

THIS IS AN UNPAID, CREDIT-ONLY INTERNSHIP.

 
The Live Nation – Charlotte NC Music Factory Premium Seat Sales Department is in search of a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the very heart of the entertainment industry! As an intern, you would be involved in various aspects of the VIP program for three venues in Charlotte; Road Runner Mobile Amphitheatre, The Fillmore Charlotte and Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.
 
Responsibilities
  • Assisting Sales Staff (including show days)
  • Assist with recruitment of new VIP clients
  • Provide quality customer service to VIP clients
  • Coordinating ticket orders & tracking
  • Coordinate ticket mailings
  • Internet Research
  • Administrative duties

This is a great internship opportunity in the Entertainment/Sales field. We are currently searching for a qualified individual to fill this internship position for the Spring Semester. The student will work at our Live Nation office and at the venues listed above on show days. 
 
This internship is for college credit and runs from January to May. It is a non-paid position with flexible hours (minimum 20 per week) to reflect the need of your college credit requirements.
