Uptown Greenville seeks an experienced event producer to create and execute multiple events & placemaking activities. The ideal candidate must be flexible and able to adjust to accommodate multiple tasks. Good writing and communications skills are essential. Candidate will be required to work some weekends and holidays. Should have extensive experience with event production, fundraising, artist booking and community outreach. The Director of Events and Branding must understand that downtown events are an economic development tool and should ensure that productions present the district’s brand in a positive light.

· National Night Out Street Food Festival
· Greenville Gives Tree Lighting
· St. Patricks Day Festival
· State of the District
· SpazzFest
Tasks
· Manages logistics of multiple events including planning, outreach, event applications, on-site management, vendor payments, and more;
· Coordinates marketing of events media coverage, advertising, website, social media, etc.;
· Manages event budgets;
· Train, and manage volunteers as necessary;
· Book or manage booking of performers and artists;
· Analyze and report on event performance;
· Assist in event set-up, tear down;
· Manage selection of vendors for events;
· Coordinate information with the downtown community to insure successful partnerships;
· Assistance in creation of new events;
· Other duties as assigned.
Compensation
· This is a full-time salaried position. Salary will be determined based on experience.
