ECU Alumni Programs

Programs Team
The Alumni Programs arm of the Alumni Association performs numerous functions to support the organization’s mission including planning fundraising events to raise money for ECU student scholarships, campus activities such as reunions to serve alumni groups, regional events to engage alumni across the Pirate Nation, and student events to build relationships and prepare future Pirate Alumni for tomorrow.
Under the guidance of 3 event planning professionals, internships with the Programs Team will provide an opportunity to increase your knowledge of planning and executing successful events. Potential opportunities include:

  • Attend regional alumni events like Freshmen Sendoffs and Alumni Networking events
  • Network with ECU alumni and friends
  • Create marketing plans and budgets for various events
  • Research venues and event space for various Alumni Association programs in targeted regions of the US
  • Research new event ideas for alumni and student programming
  • Solicit businesses for donations for the Pirate’s Bounty Scholarship Auction
  • Serve on the committee that plans the annual ECU Alumni Scholarship Classic golf tournament
  • Serve on a reunion committee that helps plan the 50th Class Reunion or Black Alumni Reunion

The Director of Alumni Programs will work with potential interns to match their interests with the needs of the Alumni Association to determine a set of goals.
This is an UNPAID internship…the experience is PRICELESS!
