- Participation in a mentorship with a member of Senior Leadership.
- Occasion to share with the organization any final projects or presentations.
- Opportunity to participate in an exit interview to share experiences, feedback and input.
- Guaranteed interview when applying for employment with UNC-TV after the competition of the internship.
- Academic credit at the discretion of their institution
CRITERIA FOR APPLYING:
- Attend an accredited college or university
AND - Be at least a full-time undergraduate student (12 semester hours);
OR - Be a graduate student (9 semester hours)
UNC-TV is seeking a Marketing intern to support the functions of a fast-paced and dynamic marketing and communications team. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for marketing and the media industry with a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills and is a self-motivated and creative individual. This intern will work closely with marketing colleagues across digital marketing, social media, events, public relations, advertising and creative services as well as other select members of the UNC-TV team to build the organization’s brand awareness, effectively promote key organization priorities and engage our audience and members.
JOB DUTIES
The UNC-TV Summer Marketing Intern will be responsible for supporting the functions of the marketing division which includes media relations, digital marketing and social media, advertising, events and creative services. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the development of content for the website, email and social platforms
- Working on marketing campaigns for upcoming programs and engagement initiatives in collaboration with the Advancement and Content divisions and marketing colleagues
- Drafting press releases, media alerts and curated distribution lists to achieve coverage from key media outlets
- Supporting the event coordinate with the development, promotion and execution of marketing and development engagement events
- Providing support with all marketing administration needs
- Creating marketing analytics reports and distributing updates on campaign and platform performance
This intern will earn an hourly rate of $15 for up to 40 hours per week over a 10-week period.
