- Participation in a mentorship with a member of Senior Leadership.
- Occasion to share with the organization any final projects or presentations.
- Opportunity to participate in an exit interview to share experiences, feedback and input.
- Guaranteed interview when applying for employment with UNC-TV after the competition of the internship.
- Academic credit at the discretion of their institution
CRITERIA FOR APPLYING:
- Attend an accredited college or university
AND - Be at least a full-time undergraduate student (12 semester hours);
OR - Be a graduate student (9 semester hours)
UNC-TV is looking for self-motivated Engineering & Production intern to join a fast-paced and dynamic Television production environment. This intern will work closely with the Studio and Field production crews, assisting with various engineering and production tasks.
JOB DUTIES
- Assist the Engineering and Production crew with studio and field productions. Opportunities include:
- Shade Cameras
- Camera Operation
- Operate the Character Generator
- Install and/or remove IT and broadcast equipment including playout servers, network switches and Satellite Receivers
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of productions
- Operation of the Video Router
- Set-up encoders for live streaming
- Operate the Video Switcher
- Operate Audio Mixers
- Record, log, archive and edit content within a MAM environment
- Other duties as assigned
This intern will earn an hourly rate of $15 for up to 40 hours per week over a 10-week period.
