Position: Literacy Coordinator.
Fall Semester or longer.
Location: Martin County Joblink/ESC office in Williamston, North Carolina
Description: The Martin County Literacy Center is a new program dedicated to providing private one-on-one literacy tutoring to residents of Martin and surrounding counties. The Center is housed in the Joblink/ESC (Employment Security Commission) office in Williamston, North Carolina. The Center is looking someone to serve as Coordinator. Duties will include administering assessments to new students, training and recruiting volunteer tutors, maintaining paperwork, as well as providing literacy tutoring to clients and maintaining office hours on a weekly basis. The Literacy Center will work with the intern’s program of study to provide adequate degree credit hours.
