How they work: The McKinney Internship Program offers students hands on learning opportunities, within the day-to-day world of a creatively driven ad agency. Interns will be pulled into teams to learn from the best in the business and experience life at McKinney, first hand. Each student will focus on their specific discipline, yet have the opportunity to learn from talented professionals in other departments. Our internships are geared towards full-time undergraduates, at the junior or senior level, or graduate students.
The details: The program is 10 weeks, during the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters of the academic year. We require a minimum of 20 hours per week in our Durham, North Carolina office. The internships are unpaid and for course credit, to full-time students only. Internship offerings vary by department as well as semester but may include: Account Management, Account Planning/Strategy, Agency Communications, Broadcast Production, Business Development, Creative, Creative Technology, Interactive Production, Media, Print Production, Studio, and Talent Management.
Fall 2012: September 10 – November 18: When to apply: June 1, 2012 – August 1, 2012
Candidates will be contacted within the business week following the deadline. Applications received after the deadline will not be eligible for that semester’s program.
