Virtual Internship – RTI International – Technology Communications Intern Needed – PAID

RTI International seeks interns for spring 2021 – virtual and paid.

The Techonology Communications Intern will support RTI’s technology communications and training team, with a specific focus on drafting engaging and concise written materials in support of the team’s strategies. The intern will be tasked with creating weekly blog posts related to RTI’s technology initiatives, as well as supporting technical communications related to system or software updates, maintenance periods, and technology programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Drafting and distributing weekly technology-focused LinkedIn articles and tracking associated metrics
  • Organizing and drafting communications that are sent to end users regarding outages, maintenance, and other technology-related subjects to ensure they are targeted, meaningful, and easily understood by end users
  • Assisting Communications team with content creation, including marketing graphics and slide presentations
  • Managing and coordinating logistics for marketing campaigns and training events as needed in support of overall team strategies

RTI’s Internship Program emphasizes experiential and mentored learning experiences, providing students and recent degree recipients an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge and skills in a meaningful and practical way. Additional Information

This paid virtual internship will take place from February 2021 through April 2021. The internship requires a minimum commitment of  15 hours per week. Hours are flexible during business hours, Monday through Friday.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a currently enrolled, degree-seeking student, or a recent graduate (within one calendar year of graduation for the entirety of the internship placement
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to draft high quality, polished materials for executive review
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint
  • Keen creative lens, with the ability to stay within corporate branded guidelines

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a communications or marketing-based role
  • Expertise in Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
