Human Resources Intern/Trainee (Seasonal) Durham Bulls Durham, North Carolina Description SUMMARY Position supports the administrative duties for the human resources department gaining experience of the various aspects of HR. Pay Rate: $12.00/HR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with recruitment needs through liaison with agencies, vendors, etc. Coordinate prospective candidates and conduct interviews. Assist with the induction of new staff to their work environment. Create and manage job postings and advertisements to job boards and social media platforms. Assist in the planning and coordination of Company events. Serve as first point of contact in HR department via telephone calls, emails, and office visitors. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Strong written and oral communication skills Strong administrative and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Professional level of confidentiality in handling employee information Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to work accurately, with good attention to detail. Must have availability to work 20 hours per week Must have a flexible schedule to work nights, holidays and weekends. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Currently enrolled in a university or college program at a junior or senior level, preferred course of study include Psychology, Human Resources, Business, Sociology, Communications or related. Minimum GPA of 3.0 Bilingual preferred (fluent in English and Spanish) Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, and moving during events and baseball games. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
