ABOUT US: Hancock Peanut Company was founded in 1944 by Robert L. Hancock, Jr. Early on he invented the Hancock Seed Peanut Sheller and notably carved the first ‘Mr. Peanut’ from a child’s drawing, from which the cast was made. Hancock Peanut Company historically functioned as buyers, sellers and shellers of jumbo seed peanuts. Meaning; we worked with and bought from farmers and sold to processors, like Planters Peanuts and many others. Hancock Peanut Company now works with processors to package peanuts for retail sales online only at this point. We want to have fun with the brand, gain new followers across social media and drive online sales. If you are outgoing, obsessed with social media and want to both grow and  flex your digital skills, we’d love to hear from you.

TASKS: 

  • Research on relevant industry topics and market trends to ensure brand awareness
  • Craft creative posts/campaigns to engage target audience, increase engagement & grow audience 
  • Develop and implement editorial calendars and plans, while meeting brand deadlines and production goals.
  • Draft high-quality content (copywriting, graphics, videos, etc.) across various social media channels
  • Monitor and managed social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn to build brand presence
  • Analyze website traffic, tracked campaigns, and measured engagement against established KPIs and objectives
  • Engage in social listening
