The deadline for the fellowship is December 8, 2023.
Below are a few things to know about the fellowship:
- The fellowship is open to college seniors or graduate students within six months of graduation and pursuing careers as: Producers, Reporters, Photojournalists, and Web Editors.
- The fellowship offers stipends for travel, meals, and lodging:
- Fellows whose universities are within 250 miles of Raleigh will receive a $500 stipend.
- Fellows whose universities are between 251-500 miles from Raleigh will receive a $750 stipend.
- Fellows whose universities are over 501 miles from Raleigh will receive a $1,000 stipend.
- Fellows can look forward to:
- Creating clips for their professional reels.
- Networking with other student journalists and have professional contacts in the journalism industry.
- Learning the ins and outs of being a professional journalist.
