Some Grade reminders for Students and Faculty
For those who need to use
New Rich Content Editor Releases Jan 16The Rich Content Editor (RCE) is the formatting box where you add text, images, links, Mediasite videos, Studio media, etc. You use it when creating announcements, pages, discussions, quizzes, etc. It’s everywhere! The updated RCE has been reorganized and has a more compact formatting bar with dropdowns to access previously visible formatting options. Big Change: External Tools will be called Apps and use a new plug icon |
Teams and Canvas integration. Create your meetings right within Canvas.
Canvas weights all quizzes, exams, assignments together for a final grade. If these items bear different weights for final grade you want to set up assignment groups.

The Global Navigation Menu includes a Recent History link, which displays recently visited pages in Canvas.

This change helps users remember what page they last viewed in one or multiple courses.

The Global Navigation Menu includes a Recent History link. This History link displays the most recent pages viewed in Canvas up to the last three weeks. Page content is displayed by title.
| All faculty are enrolled in our Canvas Orientation course. In addition to being a training resource, we’re also using this course to communicate information about new features, special training events and other important updates.
Be sure to enable course notifications so you’re in the know about Canvas. Today is Fall Festival which marks the separation from Block 1 to Block 2. Here are Canvas tips for Start and End of Semester.. New to Canvas remember to keep the menu area simple and if you need this office to test anything I have a true student account to assist in making sure all works!

Canvas gives you a number of ways to view student usage of your course.
In Settings, Feature Options and turn on New Analytics – allows instructors to track average course grades for student submissions using an interactive chart graph or table. If enabled you will see it in your right hand menu and access quickly, Course Grade, Weekly Online Activities/Views and Student Grades. Click on Student name to view their specifics.
You can click on Student’s name to view their grades and activity.
In Grades click on Students Name to view their Grades and Activity
You can track Student view of you Studio recordings by clicking Insights via the video.

As we move quickly through the semester especially those on Block schedule, it is time for quizzes/exams and the question I often get no matter the platform is how to print an exam.
Printing a student exam. – For hardcopy or electronic review.
Print an exam for paper copy – no answers –
Printing an Exam with Answer Key – so far the only solution I have found is to export to Respondus Test Generator. See OET Blog post
