Students completed the design and decoration of a unit within their retirement condo building in Greenville NC. Their hypothetical clients were a lesbian couple from Pittsburgh PA, one of whom is deaf. Pat and Fran also have a wheel-chair bound daughter in Fayetteville NC.
In addition to Universal Design considerations (for accessibility and aging in place), the students had to incorporate historical precedent into the home. And each student created a narrative relative to the project. Please click on the links below to view each slideshow.
