Jessica Miller – Our latest ERHD graduate

As Director of the ERHD program, it gives me great pleasure to announce our latest ERHD graduate – Jessica W. Miller. Jessica just completed her final course (MPH 6009) Capstone Experience in Ethnic Health & Health Disparities this summer. The title of her Capstone Proposal was, “A Qualitative Study Proposal for a Needs Assessment: Gardening Program for Lumbee Indian Youth.”

Jessica’s Capstone Proposal was simply outstanding primarily because it not only provided a wealth of health disparity data on the Lumbee Indians in Robeson County but it also provided the significance of developing culturally competent strategies, cultural health information, and new potential public health initiative as it relates to community gardening for Lumbee Indian youth. Finally, Jessica’s Capstone proposal is truly reflective and representative of all the outstanding Capstone projects from our ERHD graduates!

So please share this information with your colleagues and send me an email if you want to know about our ERHD program and about our latest ERHD graduate – Jessica W. Miller.
