APPRECIATING and RECOGNIZING Kelly Bass – ERHD Administrator

Today, I want to APPRECIATE and RECOGNIZE our ERHD Administrator — KELLY BASS! Kelly has been working with me for the past 11 years as the ONLY administrator who consistently provided me the guidance and procedure on:

  1. How to assist students in enrolling into our ERHD Program.
  2.  How to get students properly identified in the ECU system as an ERHD student.
  3.  How to get our students recognized as an ERHD graduate.

So every Spring, I recognize Kelly Bass by taking her to one of our favorite local restaurants — Mi Cabana — to celebrate her continual hard work and support for our ERHD program through the year.

Check out a few photos that I took of our luncheon.

Finally, if you do communicate with Kelly Bass in the future, please extend your support and appreciation for her outstanding work with the Ethnic and Rural Health Disparities (ERHD) Graduate Certificate Online Program.

Summer 2020 – MPH 6005 – African American Health – PAPER PROPOSAL TOPICS!

Greetings ERHD members and I trust that your summer is coming along well. With regards to the ERHD program during the summer, I regularly teach TWO COURSES. They are: (1) MPH 6005 African American Health and (2) MPH 6009 Capstone Experience in Ethnic Health and Health Disparities. The MPH 6005 African American Health course is a 5 1/2 week course which ended at the end of June and the MPH 6009 Capstone course is a 11 week course which will end at the end of July.

My African American Health course and students were exceptional this summer because they had to go through so much due to COVID-19 and national events happening in our country. Well, here are some of the major topics of the Paper PROPOSALS submitted by my graduate medical and public health professionals at the end of the course. I was thoroughly IMPRESSED by all the papers and this was my LARGEST African American Health online class (20 graduate medical and public health professionals) since teaching it here at ECU!
