Panopto microphones (Please read)

Greetings everyone,

Happy first day of Fall semester!  As you can imagine, it’s pretty busy in my neighborhood 😊.  In efforts to make sure that our Panopto recording system is capturing your lectures properly, I wanted to send out a few reminders.

  • Remember to turn your portable microphones “ON”.  For my newbies, the blinking light will flash GREEN when it is on and RED when it is muted.
  • If you notice that the audio in your recordings are low, let me know and I can adjust the volume on my end.
  • Please remember to place your microphone back on the charging base so that the next class will have audio.
  • Lastly, I will let the classroom phone ring twice and that is a reminder that your microphone is not on.

Just in case there is someone new I have instructions below.

  1. Activate the in room audio system by pressing the Crestron Panel.  This MUST be done as it activates all audio systems within the room.  Turn your microphone on.  Press the button on the front of the microphone until the green light comes on.  Clip the microphone to your lapel.
    1. If we do not hear audio from your mic we will call the room you are in and let the phone ring 2 times which is a reminder for you to check that audio is on.

If you have any issues or questions regarding our portable microphones, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.  I appreciate each of YOU! Thanks in advance for enduring my emails this week.

Please stay safe and have an incredible day!
